Biorhythm is a pattern of people’s physical, emotional, and intellectual cycles throughout their lives depending on the date of birth. The aim of this study is to investigate the race performance and biorhythm status of female and male swimmers in the 13-14 age group. The study group consisted of a total of 58 volunteer athletes comprising 20 girls (mean height 163.00±0.02 cm; mean weight 52.55±1.88 kg) and 38 boys (mean height 163.00±0.03 cm; mean weight 53.40±2.60 kg). For the study, biorhythm charts of the swimmers were obtained from Free and Easy Biorhythm Calculator v3.00. A total of 124 races were examined that included 46 individual races of girls and 78 individual races of boys. In the study, the physical cycle was accepted as 23 days, the emotional cycle as 28 days, and the intelligence cycle as 33 days. The best performance days of the races for boys and girls were determined, and positive and negative situations were evaluated. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 statistical program, and the relationship between performance and biorhythm cycles was analyzed with the Pearson correlation test. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the performance and the physical cycle (p<0.05); however, there was no significant relationship between the performance and the other cycles (p>0.05).
