Abstract
Increased levels of physical activity make significant physiological and psychological contributions to individuals’ lives. It is crucial to explore the various dimensions of physical activity in order to comprehend its impact on people’s well-being. The aim of this study was to explore the correlation between physical activity and psychological well-being among adults, considering the mediating influence of psychological resilience. The study involved 386 participants (mean age of 27.16 ± 5.83 years), comprising 247 females and 139 males, aged between 19 and 45 years. Path analysis, utilized as part of structural equation modeling, was used to assess the study models. Models 2 and 3 of the research models showed excellent fit values. The results of the research indicated notable positive relationships between the level of physical activity and various indicators of psychological health, including psychological resilience, well-being, happiness, and life satisfaction. As a result, this research concluded that heightened levels of physical activity are related with improved psychological health, with psychological resilience acting as a mediator in this relationship.
