Comparison Of Various Physical And Motoric Features Of The Team Goal Keepers Who Play In Different Leagues

The purpose of this study is to compare the various physical and motoric features of the team goalkeepers in professional leagues and amateur team goalkeepers in Turkey Football Federation. The study performed with 22 voluntary goalkeeper that included 11 profesional goalkeeper (n:11) whose avarage age is 21,27 and 11 amateur goalkeeper (n:11) whose avarage age is 23,36. During study, 13 parameters are measured.These parameters are age,height,weight,right claw, left claw, dominate leg, sitting height,overarm lenght, right leg balance, left leg balance, vertical jumping, elasticity and agility. For statical analysis of the study, SPSS 16.0 package program and independent T test are used. In this study; altough there is no significant differences at age, height, right claw, left claw, sitting height, right leg balance, left leg balance and dominate leg of goalkeepers (p>0.05). Significant differences are discovered at parameters of weight,overarm lenght,vertical jumping,elasticity and agility (p<0.05).To conclusion; when determination of the physical and motoric features of the goalkeeper that participated in this study and different league position are taken in consideration, similiar values are reached. However significant differences are discovered particularly with motoric features of professional goalkeepers .
