Aim: At this study, it has been aimed to evaluate different and similar parameters between winner and loser teams by analyzing first league handball contests. Materials and Methods: At this study, we have evaluated 32 contests, at which a total of 16 male handball teams playing Turkish Handball First League category participated voluntarily. By the help of the contest videos of 1920 minutes collected by video record method, 27 parameters have been examined by paper-and-pencil method; have been evaluated by the Independent “t” test by using a package software named SPSS. Results: At the research, there found to be no significant difference at the p>0,05 level between the winner and loser teams in terms of attack number, 7-9 meters goal, 9 meters goal, goal keeper one-to-one positive and shot positive parameters. In terms of taking the ball parameters, there was significant difference between winner and loser teams at the p<0,05 level; whereas there was significant difference at the p<0,01 level in terms of negative quick attack, goal 6 meters, defense block, foul and contest results. In terms of missed one-to-one, missed 7 meters, missed shot, out, post, line violation, violation steps, offensive foul, negative shot, causing 7 meters shot and 2 minutes parameters, no significant difference at the p>0,05 level was found between winner and loser teams. There found to be no significant difference at the p>0, 05 level in terms of negative quick attack and misplaced pass parameters, whereas significant difference was determined at the p<0,01 level in terms of block and goal keeper one-to-one negative parameters. Conclusions: As a result, we believe that this study evaluating analyses of parameters directly affecting contest results with an aim of increasing success at the handball branch, may well be helpful for the coaches to determine required significant points that can be ignored during training planning more explicitly.
