The Effect On The Social Development Of The Children 5-6 Years Old Group Who Have Been Applied Creative Drama And Modern Dance Activitie

The aim of this study is to examine the effect on the social progress of the children ages 5 - 6 who have been applied creative drama and modern dance activities. 16 male and 16 female, totally 32 children have participated in this study. The applied spare time activities (creative drama and modern dance) lasted totally 8 weeks; 3 days a week and 2 hours a day. The questionnaire, which has been prepared as social progress survey directed towards the children who have participated in the study, has been applied to the children’s families before and after the spare time activities. The survey applied to children’s families includes 14 questions which should be answered as “Yes” and “No” which will evaluate the children’s social progress. The data, the frequency which has been received from the research has been arranged in percentages. According to some of the results, after the spare time activities; 28 (% 87,5) children are able to express their feelings easily in a society, 31 (% 96,9) children can answer the questions related to them properly, 32 (% 100) children can take responsibilities and obey the rules. It is considered that starting recreative activities at early ages will help the childeren form a positive relation with their parents and environment and be aware of health, live in an active style and also will help them develop their personel values positively.
