Objective: The aim of this study is to find the difficulty and power values so that the folk dance figures can be used within the scope of water exercise.

Method: Firstly, 15 exercises chosen from among the water exercises used as standard and 15 folk dance figures which bar, halay, horon, welcome and zeybek dance types throughout Turkey were selected. From each selected folk dance, one step, one basic dance figure took place. Difficulty values of water exercises and folk dance figures were calculated according to the degree of difficulty used in artistic swimming. The selected standard water exercises and folk dance figures were analyzed one by one, and the power calculations were determined by looking at the work done and the duration of this work. It was evaluated whether the power values calculated by looking at the relationships between the difficulty values and power values of the water exercises and folk dance figures were appropriate.

Results: It was found that the power values calculated according to the obtained correlation coefficients were suitable for the difficulty values. It has been seen that power values can be estimated from difficulty values with regression analyzes based on this significant relationship. Difficulty and power values of commonly used water exercises and folk dance figures are divided into three levels to be selected according to different training intensities. Since step and basic dance figures and commonly used water exercises are similar, it may be possible to use them in training programs for the same purpose.

Conclusion: It has been observed that the lowest level in both of the difficulty and power values is in the step figures of Ali Paşa and Satıoğlu Zeybeği, and basic dance figures of Başbar, Düz Halay and Hoşbilezik. It can be said that these figures can be used in adaptation period training. It can be suggested that the basic dance figures of Akçaabat, Ferace Zeybeği and Tamzara can be used in later periods.
