A Qualitative Study on the Leadership Styles of Successful Turkish Coaches in National and International Football

The aim of the study is to examine the leadership styles of Turkish coaches who have been successful in the national and international arena, who have worked as coaches in Turkish leagues. In the study, the data of the research were obtained as a result of in-depth interviews with two technical directors. Maxqda analysis program was used in the analysis of the data. The coded data were themed and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, concept maps were created and interpreted, and the analysis process was completed. In the current study, the themes of success, feeling, education and motivation were created within the scope of leadership styles. It has been concluded that the coaches attach importance to sportive success and that providing motivation provides long-term success in the team.
