The Relationship Between The Level Of Pre-Competition Anxiety And Performance In Basketball Players

llinois anxiety test form (Sport Competition Anxiety Test/SCAT) was filled out by 75 basketball players just before Sports Tourney of İstanbul University (2001) to determine precompetition anxiety level. Basketball players diveded to two groups according to their genders as (1) girls and (2) boys and then the results of the groups were compared. According to analysis, there was a significant negative correlation between performance and competitive anxiety (p<0.05).
