Examining The Elements That Effect Hockey Players Hockey Sport Orientation and Anticipations

This study is a descriptive study aimed at determining the factors and anticipation factors affecting the orientation of in first league level hockey players towards hockey sports. The study was made on 185 hockey players 80 women, 105 men participated in the Turkey hockey federation premier league hall hockey competition. ‘The reason for starting the sport expectations scales’ were used to collect data in the survey. The data obtained from the scales were analyzed statistically. Frequency, percent and arithmetic average distributions were determined as a statistical method. As a result ‘desire to become a national team sportsman and effect of the physical education teacher’ were identified as The most important factors in the orientation of hockey athletes ‘to this sport besides it was identified that the effect of the press media organs is the lowest in importance. It was identified that psychological factors have a significant effect on they engaged in hockey sport professionally (loving hockey sport, having pleasure from success) and also they have high goals of being healthy but raising material income option has  the lowest prefix-  .it was reached the end result that among the anticipations of hockey sport being physical education teacher, being national team sportsman, being healthy and safeguard Options have the highest priority; materiality and gaining popularity desires have the lowest prefix-  .
